The orange county courthouse

I was so honored to photograph Stefanie and David's Orlando elopement at the Orange County Courthouse. Traveling from out of state, they chose to celebrate their wedding with an intimate ceremony for just the two of them. As an Orlando courthouse wedding photographer, I love capturing these heartfelt celebrations and preserving every meaningful moment, from the excitement before the ceremony to the joy of saying "I do."

If you're planning an Orange County Courthouse wedding, I recommend arriving early to allow time for security and to make your way to the third-floor Marriage License Office before your scheduled appointment. This is where you'll complete your paperwork and sign your marriage license. These quiet, candid moments - signing the documents, helping your partner with a boutonniere, exchanging smiles, and anticipating the ceremony - are all part of your wedding story and deserve to be remembered just as much as the ceremony itself.

Stefanie and David chose to exchange their vows in one of the upstairs courtrooms at the Orange County Courthouse instead of the ceremony room inside the Marriage License Office. If you're planning an Orange County Courthouse wedding and would prefer a private courtroom ceremony, be sure to ask about this option when scheduling your appointment.

Since we had a few minutes before the courtroom was ready, we took advantage of the beautiful private lobby for portraits. The space had a charming retro feel that paired perfectly with their timeless attire, making it feel as though we had stepped back in time. One of the things I love most as an Orlando courthouse wedding photographer is finding unique backdrops that add personality and tell the story of each couple's special day.

Their Orange County Courthouse wedding ceremony was incredibly special. Stefanie walked down the aisle to music before the heartfelt, personal vows in an intimate courtroom setting. It was a beautiful reminder that an elopement can be every bit as meaningful and memorable as a large, traditional wedding.

Traveling to Orlando for their wedding, Stefanie and David turned their special day into the perfect honeymoon by celebrating at Walt Disney World afterward. For couples looking for an affordable and stress-free way to get married, an Orlando elopement is a wonderful option. Whether you're planning a courthouse wedding or a simple ceremony with just the two of you, Orlando offers the perfect combination of convenience, romance, and unforgettable experiences.

After the ceremony, we couldn't leave without capturing the iconic courthouse elevator photo! It's one of my favorite moments to photograph during an Orange County Courthouse wedding. These fun, candid images add so much personality to an elopement gallery and help tell the complete story.

One of the best parts of an Orange County Courthouse wedding is the incredible architecture surrounding the courthouse. After your ceremony, we can stroll around the building to capture timeless portraits featuring its grand columns, modern design, and beautiful downtown backdrop.

Located in Downtown Orlando, the courthouse is also within walking distance of a variety of  locations, giving us the opportunity to add even more variety to your wedding gallery. If you'd like to explore the area after your ceremony, we can always extend your elopement photography coverage to capture even more unforgettable moments.

Frequently Asked Questions About Orange County Courthouse Elopements

Do I need a photographer for a courthouse wedding?

Absolutely! Your courthouse wedding is still your wedding day. From signing your marriage license and exchanging vows to portraits afterward, professional photography ensures these once-in-a-lifetime memories are beautifully preserved.

What Should We Wear to Our Courthouse Wedding?

There are no rules when it comes to what you should wear for your Orange County Courthouse wedding! If you envision your day feeling like a traditional wedding, I encourage couples to wear formal wedding attire. A wedding dress, suit or tuxedo, bouquet, boutonniere, veil, jewelry, and other meaningful accessories can elevate your photos and make the day feel even more special.

If formal attire isn't your style, that's perfectly okay too! Many couples choose a more casual look, whether that's a simple white dress, business casual attire, or outfits that reflect their personalities. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident.

How long should I book courthouse wedding photography?

My elopement sessions reserve up to 2 hours of photography coverage. This allows plenty of time to document your arrival, paperwork, ceremony, family photos (if applicable), romantic portraits around the courthouse, and even a short walk through Downtown Orlando.

Can we take photos around the courthouse after the ceremony?

Yes! The Orange County Courthouse offers beautiful architecture, grand staircases, modern details, and several scenic portrait locations. The courthouse is located in downtown Orlando, providing even more variety for your wedding gallery.

Can we include family or guests?

Of course! Whether you're eloping with just the two of you or celebrating with close family and friends, I'll capture candid moments, group portraits, and all the meaningful details of your courthouse wedding.

When should we book our courthouse wedding photographer?

I recommend booking your photographer as soon as you've scheduled your Orange County Courthouse wedding appointment. This helps ensure your date is available and gives us plenty of time to plan your photography timeline.

How much do you charge for an elopement session?
